Summer 25

Hello,

Whether it’s accompanying a sick person, taking action in the face of oppression or creating music, I notice that it’s often better together!

Today, I’d like to share a selection of collective projects and collaborations to be seen and/or heard in the near future.

PROCESSION – Sunday the 15th at 5pm

This Sunday at 5pm, I’ll be taking part in “Procession” at the Altitudes biennial event, at La Part-Dieu near Bulle. This is a performance for voice and body in movement, inspired by the Alpine legends of the procession of the dead.

The project is led by the LACS collective in collaboration with Aurélie Emery, Yann Hunziker, Antoine Läng, Maryfé Singy, Valentine Paley, and myself.

COLLABORATIONS – 3 albums

1) 3yooni – Baghdad

I met Yassin Mahdi alias 3yooni during the concerts we organized with the Music for Palestine collective.
His questions about transmission resonated with mine. He asked me to collaborate on a song about his and my Iraqi parents’ relationship with language, called Les Mots. It’s available on his brilliant debut album Baghdad.

2) Marie Taillefer, Buvette, Salomé Kiner – The Very House

This multi-faceted project is based on over 10 years of correspondence between photographer and director Marie and writer Salomé. This beautiful text was set to music by Buvette, then sung and spoken by various voices, including my own (and those of Rebekka Warrior, Julie Hugo, Laetita Fleury and others). Many thanks to them for this tender and magical house. The album is distributed by Pan European Recording.

3) UFO – IV.III

An open band whose core members are Michael Anklin, Lukas Huber and Robert Torche, UFO creates experimental pieces that are always collaborations with other musicians. I loved immersing myself in the dense matter of Neuronen’s sounds, and seeing how voice and text could dialogue with the textures.
