Hello everyone,
Well, I just realized my last newsletter went out before the summer! In a completely different atmosphere, here are a few winter updates and some perspectives for the year ahead.
New video
A few months ago, I received a beautiful gift: two talented artists, Marina Kalleny and Juliette Menthonnex, created a video for a track on my latest album released in 2023. The song is called “Miscarriage Song” and speaks about pregnancy loss. I love the images they created—bright, vivid, full of life. It reminds us that life and death are inseparable, which is also at the heart of this song.
Duo with Yann Hunziker
We recorded five songs that we’ll be releasing as an EP this summer. The studio session with Fabien Ianonne—who brought magic to the compositions with his double bass—was great! We can’t wait to share this music and to start performing as a duo again from May 2026.

“Our languages our music”
In October, I had the chance to co-lead a music-creation workshop with my colleague and friend Sami Galbi, working with young people aged 12 to 16. I was blown away by their creativity, their ideas, their energy. This project, carried out in three Swiss regions, led to an album of nine songs in 24 (yes, 24!) different languages. Many thanks to Interbiblio, the association that made it all happen.
Jelly Sunday Set
On November 28, I was invited to play a DJ set on Radio Bollwerk for the third anniversary of the Jelly Sunday show. I put together 1h30 of music around the theme of grief—in the broadest sense: softness (a generous amount), textures, lightness, depth. Enjoy!
Ortie – اختي
“Ortie” is nettle in French. A plant that stings, yes—and “okhti” also means “my sister” in Arabic. It’s the name Annalisa, Selin, Rana and I chose for our mainly vocal quartet, which will give its very first concert on January 16 at Nouveau Monde in Fribourg. A story of friends who just love to sing together.

Wishing you a wonderful end of the year, and looking forward to seeing you in 2026!
Warmly,
Laure
